Which DSN should be created - User or System

To connect with a database, which DSN is to be created in ODBC? User or System? I had both working fine for me. Is there a difference?

I think the difference is that if somebody else logs into your computer then they (and silktest) won't be able to see any of the user DSNs you set up, but the list of system DSNs is universal so they can see that (and connect to them, add to them, delete them etc.).
Probably unlikely, but I prefer to use system DSNs for this reason.

I am light-years from being anything that represents a database expert (see my question on random fetch) but I'm in agreement with Vince on this one. I typically use SystemDSN for the same reason. Any tester can use the machine, run the script and have access to the needed data.
