    Exceptions in DLLs -- debugging

I wrote a custom DLL to deal with my app. Occasionaly I get the following message:

How can I use this information to debug my DLL? What are these code, flags, and address?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Surely you need to debug it in the environment you developed the DLL in, e.g. C++ or VB, etc.

Re: Exceptions in DLLs -- debugging

I tried. Unfortunately, the bug is intermittent (perhaps timing-dependent) and debugging it hasn't worked for me yet. I was hoping that the information in the Silk error message would give me a clue as to where the exception happens and what it is.

When I do try to debug in Visual C++ and go to the memory address indicated in the error message, that seems to take me to an address in Agent.exe or somewhere else outside my own DLL code...

    Anyone had this problem before?

Code 0xc0000005 is a memory access violation. Clearly there is a problem in your C/C++ code - perhaps a place where you are crossing array limits etc. You could post the function you invoked and also the input data (from your Silk script) here.
