    Problems in running scripts on IE 6.0

    Today I was trying to run simple script of login on IE 6.0 and I got following error like

    "Window '[MainWin]$explorer5[1]' was not found"

    My code is in include file is:
    [-] Log_In(String sURL)
    [ ] //Browser.Invoke()
    [ ] Browser.LoadPage(sURL)
    [ ] BrowserPage.SetActive()
    and I was calling it in .t file like

    [ ] use "global.inc"
    [ ] String u ="www.hotmail.com"
    [-] testcase login() appstate none
    [ ] Log_In(u)

    My question to you guys is Can silk 5.03(unfortunately our company is not willing to upgrade/buy silk anymore)recognises IE-6.0.
    I really need to brush up.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ayesha.

    That's unfortunate.. If you do a search in this forum there was a similar question asked and a potential workaround for the problem too.

    Re: Problems in running scripts on IE 6.0

    I've been digging and cannot find it, but this very thing was discussed within the last month and one of the forum members pasted an excellent method for getting older versions of Silk to see IE 6.

    DIG! The answer is here somewhere.

    Re: Problems in running scripts on IE 6.0

    Try out this:

    Go to the Extension Enabler, click the add a new extension pushbutton, and browse to the IE6 executable. Set it to IE5 Virtual Object. Do the same in the Silktest GUI under Options, Extensions… SilkTest should be able to recognize IE6 as a browser.
