Calculating Return on Investment
Iím trying to build a ROI chart for funding more Silk licenses and equipment. Does anybody know what the current going rate of a fully loaded FTE junior, average and senior level QA engineer? Or can offer techniques of calculating cost saving that automation adds.
Re: Calculating Return on Investment
Rates vary widely across the US. To measure ROI in your organization I recommend to use the rates that your existing personell is getting paid.
Measuring an ROI depends on the specific goals that you seek after. We use a spreadsheet in our service to calculate different factors of our goals that we want to measure and then make sure that it gets updated as part of the process so that we always know where we stand.
Some goals are harder to put a price on....
- Ensuring repeatable tests
- Keeping test staff from certain boredom
- Productivity gains
