    Test Case Dependencies

OK,, I know test case dependancies are bad, but I have an incredibly data Intencive application and I do have numerous testcases that depend on the completeion of others..
In the February Edition of Segue@Work there was an article about this, by Brian Le Suer.
I tested it out but I am running into an issue with it.

In the TestCaseExit Funcition it states,
    [-] TestCaseExit (BOOLEAN bException)
[ ] LIST OF ANYTYPE laArgs
    [ ] STRING sTestCaseName
    [ ] FUNCTION_DATA fd
    [ ]
    [ ] laArgs = GetTestCaseArgs ()
    [ ] fd.laArgs = laArgs[1][1]
    [ ] sTestCaseName = fd.laArgs[2][1]

I have no Idea what this FUNCTION_DATA is! I have tried creating a record with this name, and can compile OK..( It will only compile if FUNCTION_DATA is of type record) but I always get error at runtime "Type Mismatch - only arrays, lists, and strings may be indexed. "

OK,, so I commented out the FUNCTION_DATA Stuff and just did a print(laArgs[1][1]) and got the same error in my result..

Has anybody else played with this at all and got it to work?
I just don't understand how he is reading in the test case arguments into a LIST OF ANYTYPE and then looks like he is passing that value from a two dimentional array to the FUNCTION_DATA record.

    has me lost !

    Re: Test Case Dependencies

Drop Brian an e-mail and ask for the code. There are different ways of implementing this type of thing. Brian's article should get some ideas rolling.

    Re: Test Case Dependencies

    Here is the solution:

    [-] type FUNCTION_DATA is record
    [ ] STRING sFuncName
[ ] LIST OF ANYTYPE laArgs
