IE 5.5 document declaration incorrect with Java in silktest 5.5
Hi Silktest gurus,
I have the following problem. We are testing a web application using applets in IE 5.5 (DOM) and upgraded our scripts from silktest 5.0 to 5.5.2.
On half of the machines, the document structure found by silktest 5.5 is the same as 5.0 (something like BrowserChild.BrowserChild.BrowserChild.BrowserChil d.BrowserChild.JavaApplet ).
The problem is that on the other half, silk sees the applet too early in the tree : BrowserChild.JavaApplet.
I think I checked all the config parameters between the machines. I checked the presence of the SilkTest_Java1.jar in the classpath, and don't really understand where is the problem.
Anybody else saw and solved this ?
Thanks for your help,
Re: IE 5.5 document declaration incorrect with Java in silktest 5.5
I think I just figured it out : it seems that the difference is coming from the browser itself.
With IE 5.0 its still the first behaviour, with IE 5.5 the applet is right after the first childbrowser...
So, I guess we will have to maintain our code with both versions... Bummer !
Still, if anyone found a workaround, please speak !
