problem to call SQLDescribeCol from odbc32.dll

    Hello

I want to call the function SQLAllocHandle from the odbc32.dll and I have a problem because the parameters for this function are "Long" and the fucntion DB_Connect only return "Handle".

Does somebody know how to do ??
I try to convert my handle value in "Long" : [Long]value but i get an error
    Incompatible types

    thanx

Re: problem to call SQLDescribeCol from odbc32.dll

In your situation, would you do better making the connection using the function in odbc32.dll rather than using Silk's DB_Connect (assuming there is one)?

I'm keen to know how you get on, because I'm going to be looking at querying databases using odbc32.dll rather than using the db_functions, because there's not much flexibility with them.
