    Connecting Remote machine

    *** Error: Unable to connect to machine '\\TargetMachine' -- Host not found in hosts table (gethostbyname)

    can anybody help me to solve the above problem.
    when i tried execute 'Connect("TargetMachine") Silktest gives the above error.

    in Options\ i enabled network TCP/IP.

    Did you enable the network for the agent.exe on the remote machine?

    The hosts file on your machine doesn't have the machine name listed in it. Try connecting using the real IP address of the machine.

    i tied either ways, by giving host name and also by providing the id address. Still I get the same error message

    Host not found in hosts table.

    Mean while to say, I have set runtime options for agent name to NONE and Network to TCP/IP.

    I am triggering the script from command prompt using "<parnter path>\partner -m \\machinename -opt fw.opt -r Scriptname.t"

    Did you configure the Agent on the target machine to accept tcp/ip ?
    Dont force me to hit you with the motivational stick again.

    Try taking off the prefixing backslashes, e.g. -m machinename NOT -m \\machinename
