    Recording Changes at run time.

    Hi all,
    I am using SilkTest 5.0.3 for automation of my test suite. I have observed that sometimes the recording of objects changes from its previous recording at run time.Thus I have to write stmt's like
    if( Recording1.Exists ())
    // Do some action
    else if( Recording2.Exists ())
    // Do some action
    else
    // Do some action

    Have other people also experienced such erratic behavior? How do you tackle such situations?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sharad

    Did you record window when the browser is in different size from play-back's?

    If so, make sure you have browser maximized.

    Even with browser maximized I face the same problem. In fact it's painful to fix recording changes for pages. I hope others have experienced it too!

    Re: Recording Changes at run time.

    I have experienced this when writing scripts against a recorded .asp document. It only seems to happen after the page has been loaded for some time, although recording window declarations several times will sometimes get it to 'switch' to the broken declarations.

    I can't tell at this point if it's caused by the page or by SilkTest, but I'm suspecting the latter, since nothing changes on the page between recording attempts.

    This is with version 5.5.3.

    Thanks Josh. Are these problems addressed in any service pack of SilkTest or in SilkTest 6.0 ?
