Our AUT has a .ini file with double byte characters. When trying to read that file using either FileReadLine or IniFileGetValue functions, it returns garbage characters because the file is not in a UTF-8 format that SilkTest International wants. Has anyone encountered this and has a good work around?
This isn't a direct help, but it might be a good last resort.
I wrote about writing binary files. In the include file there is also a read function, with similar syntax to the write I actually used in the function. You might read the file in binary (keeping in mind that character 0 passes as an empty string) and then do the conversion 'by hand.'
A bit messy, but at least it should work. Good luck!
