    pln file parameters to database

If one has a plan to port the data used in pln files at a later stage to a database what kind of structure should one opt for.
Has anyone done this king of exercise where the scripts were developed with data being passed from pln file but at a later stage port it to databse ?
    I am using silktest 5.5 version ..

Re: pln file parameters to database

If at all possible, go for the full solution from the start. If you are unable to do so, here are a couple of tips:

    1) Include the testcase Id -- the name, outline number -- as an argument to the testcases. You will use this later to identify the row of data to be retrieved.
    2) Do not use record datatypes as arguments into testcases. They are more difficult to parse. If you must use records, you will have an extra step in data parsing.

Just a couple off the top of my head. Contact me when you do the conversion.
