    Re: hovering over a menu

    You will have to define the coordinates of where the menus are on the MenuBar and then you can call the command:

    Re: hovering over a menu

    If you're clever you can do it.
    Pick the menu item with the mouse. After the pick, get the mouse coordinates and there is the position of the menu....

    Re: hovering over a menu

    what method could i use to get the mouse coordinates from a menu bar? GetItemRect() only works with listview and treeview while GetPosition() works with a CursorClass.

    Re: hovering over a menu

    A menu or menuitem pick leaves the cursor where the menu was picked. You don't really need to know the actual position if you do something like this.

    Re: hovering over a menu

    thanks John.

    now, the problem i'm having using 'pick' is that if the menuitem is disabled then the 'pick' function doesn't work properly.

    set the following agent option prior to picking the menu:

    Agent.SetOption (OPT_VERIFY_ENABLED, FALSE);

    You're pick will still fail- wrap the pick in a do..except and you'll be fine
