What kind of applications do you run ?

    Web Based ?
    Client Server ?
    Mainframe ?

If you don't have Experienced QA engineers an Automated Test tool may be a bad idea.

Re: Law Firms and Automated Tools

We test Web based applications as well as
Client Server. We would like to automate a process for functional and regression testing.

    Law Firms and Automated Tools

I was wondering if there is someone out there who works for a law firm and can share some thoughts about use of automation tools. We have two options: Silk test and WinRunner and we don't know what should we choose, since we don't have experienced QA Engineers. So any information about what is being used in law firms would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Re: Law Firms and Automated Tools

I'm not a vendor, so if you'd like a recommendation of one that can help you both choose a tool and get it up and running in a very short amount of time, then contact me directly and I'll pass their info along.

Otherwise, it likely will not be cost-effective for you to pursue automated testing without at least one experienced QA professional...
