    Silktest (and Performer) and CA-Unicenter

Does anyone here have any experience in using Segue products in conjunction with CA-Unicenter job scheduling?

We are getting ready to convert, and wanted to see what others thought of it.

    Clarification wanted:

Are you talking about using Silk to test the Unicenter interface, or are you asking how well Unicenter is a scheduling SilkTest and SilkPerformer?

Works pretty well. Both SilkTest and Performer have good commandline interfaces which makes this possible. If you want to get really fancy you can also get SilkTest to write to the Unicenter database to update the status of the test results too.

Re: Silktest (and Performer) and CA-Unicenter

I've had cases where I invoke Silktest from the command line, and it will complete a test succesfully but WILL NOT EXIT until I click on the Silktest tab in the Taskbar.

Has anyone else run into this?

Re: Silktest (and Performer) and CA-Unicenter

add -q in the command line to close silkTest after execution, ex:

    partner -q -query SomeQuery -r SomeTestplan.pln
