    Clipboard.GetText() problems

    I am trying to get the contents of the clipboard after cutting a node from a treeview. I use
    Clipboard.GetText()
    The returned list of string is empty.

    The docs state the following:
    "If the clipboard’s contents are graphical or are text that is not plain (that is, the text cannot be interpreted as ASCII), GetText returns an empty list ({})."

    The nodes in my tree are actually custom objects, XMTreeNodes. To allow Silktest to select them we have to implement the toString() method to return the name actually displayed in the tree.
    Now I'm guessing that when I'm using Clipboard.GetText(), Silktest is finding an object and so simply returning an empty list.
    This seems fair enough, after all it is ...GetText(). However I am wondering if there is a way to make Silktest use the toString method when dealing with objects on the clipboard...?
    (I tried viewing the treenode on windows Clipboard Viewer and nothing was there. Seems it can only cope with text and bitmaps.)

    I guess I am limited to pasting whatever is on my clipboard into the AUT and verifying it that way...? Any thoughts...?

    Re: Clipboard.GetText() problems

    It seems that the InvokeJava() example in the Silk online help is custom made for your purpose.
