Re: How to verify whether the dll could be loaded?

No, it won't work...I have to use Windows SDk function called LoadLibrary/LoadLibraryEx, and I don't know how to implement it within silktest

SYS_EXECUTE executes special exe, batch, etc. files - there is no such a file as Load Library....thank you, though

Re: How to verify whether the dll could be loaded?

Assuming that you know what's in the DLL being loaded, use Silk to make a call to a method or function that's defined within that DLL. If it doesn't work, it ain't loaded.

How to verify whether the dll could be loaded?

One of the tasks I have to perform is to verify whether dll-libraries could be loaded.
What is the best approach to do that in SilkTest?

    Thank you so much,
    Alla

I guess you 'd do it the way you 'd verify manually.

Re: How to verify whether the dll could be loaded?

John, it is definitely an option - however, what I am trying to implement is slightly different - I am trying to use WINDOWS API loadlibrary to see, whether it could be loaded in general...and I wonder, what the approach could be...

It would seem that you could run it using a DOS window and interpret the return value as pass/fail.

I should warn you - I know just enough here to be dangerious.
