    SYS_FileSetPointer problem, help...

    Hi All,
I am trying to update txt file, having trouble...
I have opened file in FM_UPDATE mode..
    1) int iCurrentLine=SYS_FileSetPointer (PRDFileHandle, -1, FP_RELATIVE)
    2)iCurrentLine=SYS_FileSetPointer (PRDFileHandle, 57)
..On exectuion I am getting invalid file handle...I don't have problem with reading lines. I didn't try writing lines into this file yet..

Thank you all for the help,

I am not sure this is the case with you OR not. But, if you open file using FileOpen () and are trying to call SYS_FileSetPointer (), it won't work (You will get INVALID HANDLE error). The same may be true if you open file using SYS_FileOpen () and use FileSetPointer () to set the position.

The following code works perfect in case you want to use...

The above code returns 13 & 14 as result.
