    Problem with Win XP

    Hi Guys,
We had few Test Plans which we wrote for a client server application. We did not encountered any erors/problems while running all these Test Plans on Win 95, 98, 2000 and NT machines. But when we ran on XP machine, few objects are not being recognised by the silk. I could nt see any difference in the objects name when I looked at Window--> Record Identifiers.
Can any one find this type of problem before???
    If so..Any solution???
    thanks
    Ram Mohan

    Re: Problem with Win XP

We have been testing with Client Server application on the OS you listed including XP and have not had any problems. We did upgrade to 5.5.3 which supports XP. (The only thing we had to code for was in our Bitmap compare since the title bars are different sizes between the OS's.

Try using the classic interface with XP.

I haven't had the opportunity to try SilkTest with XP, but I've read on here that earlier versions of SilkTest work with the XP's classic interface (so that XP looks like Win2K).

The latest build of SilkTest 5.5.3 also has a hot fix. ST 5.5.3.1

    Re: Problem with Win XP

If you're running 5.5.3, you don't need to run in classic mode -- you can use the standard XP skins. Classic was only necessary for one of the earlier point releases.
