    Re: Working with Tabs Menu

    I don't have Progress, but I suspect you have tabs like this:

    <IMG SRC=http://crone.us/excel-tabs.jpg ALT="Tabs from Excel">
    or
    <IMG SRC=http://crone.us/other-tabs.jpg ALT="Tabs from another program">

    I've tried to use these as well, with little success. Sometimes they work straightaway, but most of the time I wind up coming up with a way around them. Is there any way to change window views from the menu, or the Window bar, or something else? .TypeKeys("&lt;Ctrl-Tab&gt;") sometimes works, and I've had .TypeKeys("&lt;Ctrl-Enter&gt;") move between windows too.

    If there is no workaround (as was the case with the second picture), you can use a .Click (1,x+n,y), where n is incremented some number for each tab. This is going to be easiest to determine experimentally, by the way; maybe you can try to click at the leftmost character in each tab name, and see what gets recorded.

    By the way, this coordinate positioning isn't quite as sensitive as teachers will lead you to believe. I've successfully done it with many screen resolutions. The reason is that the image also changes size, so the number of pixels doesn't necessarily change. Obviously, this is application-specific, but it's worth a shot if nothing else is working.

    Someone else might have a better suggestion (and I might not have addressed the problem at all!) on how to deal with these, so don't go to a lot of trouble until tomorrow.

    Good luck!

    -TC

    Re: Working with Tabs Menu

    What does the declaration for a "Tab Menu" look like?

    It looks something like this:
    CustomWin CntrClass1
    {
    msw tag "[CntrClass]$428";

    CustomWin TabStripWndClass1 { msw tag "[TabStripWndClass]$0"; }
    }
    }
