    Re: Java Applett Testing

    Step 1:
Check ur Java Version by typing "java -version" in Command Prompt.
If it is JDK1.1.8 or lesser then Copy SilkTest_Java1.jar in the jdk1.18\jre\lib\ext folder.
If it is JDK1.2 or greater then Copy SilkTest_Java2.jar in the jdk*\jre\lib\ext folder.

    Step 2:

Check java option in the extension enabler as well as in the options -> Runtime.
If u have Active X controls only then u are recommended to check the Active X Option.
Check Browser if it is loaded via Browser not through the appletviewer.

    Step 3:

    Start the Applet
Start the Agent.Right Click the Agent Icon in the Window and click Extension -> Details.
You could see the window with the respective exe loaded.

    Step 4:

Now Record the Objects.I hope it should recognise.

    Re: Java Applett Testing

Unless something has changed recently, Applet (browser) testing has to use the Java1.jar file.

    Am I missing something?

    Re: Java Applett Testing

... to test applets??? Well, like I said, I could be missing something on this. My understanding was that Java technology in browsers was ground to a halt because of competitive tensions between Sun and Microsoft. That may be resolved now...

    Friends,

Segue fixed this problem in 5.5 SP3. You need to install this to work with applets based on JRE 1.4

    Re: Java Applett Testing

    blacst,

Can you confirm that you were using the Java2.jar file to test an applet in a browser? Even though I'm not doing Java testing right now, I'd like to be clear on this issue. I really believe userk53 needs to be using the Java1.jar file for this, but I know I could be way off on that.
