    Dears,

In my Java standalone Application, the SilkTest 5.5 recognises only menu items and other Swing controls are not identified. Can anyone help me in knowing the cause?

    Java Version: Jdk1.3

    Error Appeared in my CLI:

    at segue.qaplang.QapWinHandle.setHasChildren(QapWinHa ndle.java:1058)

Note: The Swing Controls in the Main Page are recognised by the Silk with no error thrown at CLI.

    Re: Java Objects Not Recognised

Which SilkTest_Java?.jar file are you using?

    Where is it located?

    What is your classpath?

How is the Java Application loaded? Do you run if from the command line? Is it called from a batch file?

    Re: Java Objects Not Recognised

    1. It is SilkTest_Java2.jar
    2. Also Located at : C:\JDK1.3\JRE\LIB\EXT Folder
    3. Classpath is appended with C:\Program Files\Segue\SilkTest\Extend\SilkTest_Java2.jar

    4. Java Application is started from command line.

    Thanks

    Re: Java Objects Not Recognised

Am I understanding correctly that this exception is showing up when you have Silk attempt to run this application from the command line, but the exception does not appear when you run it manually?

What is the code you are using from Silk to kick this application off?

    Re: Java Objects Not Recognised

This error appeared in the Command Line when i started the application from Command Line Interface as:

    java com.UI.FieldLoginUI

    where,
    java Version : 1.3
    Classpath=C:\Program Files\Segue\SilkTest\Extend\SilkTest_Java2.jar;%Cl asspath%
Also, the SilkTest_Java2.jar available in C:\JDK1.3\JRE\LIB\EXT Folder.

Moreover, all the objects in the login page are recognised but in the inner page only menu items are recognised by Silk with the stated error message in the Command Line

    Re: Java Objects Not Recognised

Agreed. Pull the Silk book down and look up the Start() method. Call the application with this method and see if that resolves your issue. It has been a very long time since I tested Java with Silk, but I do recall that this was the method used to kick off the applications.
