    GroupWise 6 and Install

Has anyone used Segue Silk Test with GroupWise 6? We are looking to functional pilot the tool with this and I have had problems with GroupWise and the Rational tool. With the Rational tool most of the objects were recorded by screen coordinates and not objects name. How does Segue’s tools handle GroupWise?

    Thanks,
    Bruce.

PS. I hope to install the tool with in the week, are there any hints you wish to pass on. Please not be shy.

The web client or the regular client?

regular client first, but I'm sure the WEB will soon follow. Just functional testing.

Dumb question, but is there a different in the tool? Would there be two different scripts?

    Bruce.

I haven't looked at GroupWise6 yet. I know that there were custom objects in previous versions (4.1), but SilkTest was ablw to deal with the ones we needed to test. Are you testing GroupWise functionality or just using the interface to test something else?

    Re: GroupWise 6 and Install

We will be testing the functionality of GroupWise 6sp2 on WinNT, WinXP, Win98. possible others. In the beginning (there was darkness, then came Segue...) NO NO NO, we will only test the desktop client and not the WEB client. The goal is to use the same scripts with different OS’s and different desktop hardware. I don’t have the specification yet, I would guess standard testing create an appointment send e-mail, blah blah blah. Have you or anyone had problems running Segue on GroupWise6sp2?

PS. What is the location (page) of the Yahoo users group for Segue?

    Thanks,
    Bruce.
