Re: htmltextfield Function to get all text

Thank you for suggestion. I just tried GetMultiText () and it returns the same amount of text as previous functions that I mentioned before. Thank you.

So what happens if you do that Record/Actions again, position the cursor in the htmltextfield and press Ctrl-Alt.
Does the Properties To Verify (Text checkbox) section show all the text you are looking for?

Re: htmltextfield Function to get all text

Thank you for your suggestion. I followed it and I did the following action: record/actions manually selected text in the htmltextfield. When I run it it does select the correct amount of text. How do I copy the text though? Thank you

Re: htmltextfield Function to get all text

There are many ways to get your selected text (via the Clipboard, via low-level keystrokes Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V, etc. etc.
See Online Help on TextField class and try out some of the methods listed there.

Re: htmltextfield Function to get all text

    How do I go from:
    BrowserPage.HtmlTextField("$LogoHTML[2]").SetSelRange (1, 1, 4, 455)
to saving the selected text to saving it to clipboard?
Thank you for all your responses.

Re: htmltextfield Function to get all text

See Online Help again for "Clipboard".
Check out TypeKeys topics also for the Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V (Copy and Paste) this could be easier for you to follow.

Re: htmltextfield Function to get all text

    Try this.

Imagine in the TypeKeys method there is a parameter like this ("Ctrl-End"),("Shift-Home"), or ("Ctrl-C"). Which is the order you will place them in the calls. If you use the Copy function on the message page those parameters should be in the code.

For some reason, probably how the parser works, it won't show you the parameters in the message.

Re: htmltextfield Function to get all text

sorry I have such a hard time with this. The above code returned lsList. Also the followng code returns nothing

    ManualLogoInsertion.SmartLogo.SetSelRange (1, 1, 10, 274)
    BrowserPage.HtmlTextField("$LogoHTML[1]").TypeKeys ("<Ctrl-C>")
    ListPrint (lsText)

Re: htmltextfield Function to get all text

Are you saying my code did work?

It does return a list of string but that is what the darn method does. From there you can move the list of string text back to a string variable or just compare the one instance of the list. Like this

Using an index of 1 for looking at the first element in the list.

Could you post the output of the list?
That way I might have a better idea how to handle it.

On the other code that you posted, you placed nothing in the list, there for there will be nothing to print.
