    Data driven testcases

Currently, I have my data driven testcases pulling data from a comma seperated text file. However, I would like to eventually pull my data from a database or even an excel worksheet. Does anyone know how to set something like this up?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Data driven testcases

    Roopa,

Creating Test Database depends on the Database Type (SQL Server/Oracle/...).
You can find the SQL Queries to create database/table.
Then perform a database query using e-Tester through VBScript to reterive the data.
Refer: e-Test Database Query Thread in e-Test Link.

    Note:
This Section is specifically for SilkTest. You have another forum called "e-Test" where u can expect better answers for the same question.

Look a this great article "Loading Data from an MS Access Database" by Marc O’Brien, published on segue.com. I'm using it with a MySQL database.
