Getting Alt text in NS4
I need to check out some of the popup help text we got on our web pages. This is the text that comes up when you park the mouse over the object. Or the stuff that the developer puts in the alt text tag for the web page. Anyway on IE6 I am able to use GetCaption and that returns the correct text, but over on Netscape 4 GetCaption does not return the correct text. It looks like the caption under NS4 is something totally different. Anyone got any ideas as to what will return the alt text?
PS GetHelpText returns ""
Re: Getting Alt text in NS4
I am not sure if this will work, but heck you could just try it out:
try "object.GetCaption ([TRUE, FALSE])"
According to the Silktest Manual: if you set it this way:
1. GetCaption returns platform-specific information in the caption.
2. GetCaption returns the object's caption if there is one or the prior static text if the object does not have a caption.
Best of luck
