    Results files

    Hi,

Wanted to know if there is a way to print out lines to results files in different colors / bold, etc. This is to differentiate particular lines from the regular lines. (something like the warning lines, which are printed in purple.)

    Thanks,

I don't think there is, but I could be wrong. I usually offset the message that I want to stand out by printing a couple of blank lines and/or lines with all asterisks.

I'd be interested to know if there is a way that I am unaware of to the change the font color on a print statement.

    Re: Results files

I had written a Word Macro a couple years back to do just that. It mainly color coded the comment lines, but was easy to upgrade if you wanted to have keyword highlighting as well.

I belive the Macro is in the download section of this site....

I just checked, it is still there

    Re: Results files

Sorry, my mistake, you where takling about result files rather than 4Test code.

However, the same code could be adapted for result files.

I have also posted a logClass in the download section. You can log to both the result file and to an ASCII file. I have since updated it drastically to output in HTML format, color coding errors and warnings, and linking to screen captures(but I don't have that one posted). You can grab what is there and just change the output to be HTML.
