Re: How to close a new browser window that comes at runtime

You have not provided enough, based on what I understand, I think you can find out what is unique about this new window put this info in its tag and try closing, it or try Browser.CloseOthers()

Re: How to close a new browser window that comes at runtime

Actually there are many windows that can be opened from the navigation bar in my application. And in each page there is a help link which opens the help page in a new browser window. I want to close that help page with the main browser opened. But those help pages are not declared in the frame file.

How to close a new browser window that comes at runtime

Mine is a webbased application and I want to close the new window that pops up at runtime even thought it is not declared before.
Both the windows are identified as BrowserChild.
I tried to use Browser.CloseWindows () but its trying to close the main window if the new window is Active.
    Thannks in advance.

Re: How to close a new browser window that comes at runtime

Your browser windows will be numbered by Silk. The "active" window (browser) regardless of what it is, help, main or otherwise, will ALWAYS be browser number 1. Once you determine which browser is active, if you want to close it at that point, you can use a standard Browser.Close() and it will dismiss the window for you.

Re: How to close a new browser window that comes at runtime

Thanyou Gary. I am using a similar kind of technique to close the help window.
I am setting the Main window Active and the using the method Browser.CloseOthers().
    It solved my problem.

Once again Thanks to all for your help.
