    Trouble with window declarations

    I recently added a window declaration to my .inc file and recompiled. It recompiles fine, but when I go to use it in a script, I get error messages that say "Member x is not defined in window y". I have added window declarations before and never had problems, the code works fine if I use the DialogBox("tag") etc. Any suggestions?

    Seeing the code usually helps in these situations. If you upload the frame file, I am sure someone will be able to help you.

    Re: Trouble with window declarations

    Well currently I'm only trying MainWin.TerminateSession.SetActive() and my .t file is giving me errors. The .inc file will compile without errors.

    Try this:

    TerminateSession.SetActive()

    Re: Trouble with window declarations

    I am assuming that the problem happens whenever your script references this DialogBox (TerminateSession). If so, I would try commenting out most of the objects and perform some simple action in SilkTest (click OK maybe). If that works, uncomment a few objects at a time until you figure out which object(s) are causing the problem.

    If the problem only happens when you reference certain objects on that Dialog, then you might want to reconsider using multitags for this Dialog. Try changing the objects to use a simple tag line and see if that helps.

    Whatever happens, post the solution when you figure it out...

    Good luck!

    Re: Trouble with window declarations

    What specific "x" is not defined in "y"?

    Also, I would agree with Tom that you want to avoid the multitags if you can. Consider this:

    Re: Trouble with window declarations

    Thanks everyone! Problem solved! Silly me all I had to do was take the MainWin out of the statement and it recognized <tt>TerminateSession </tt>.
