Re: SilkTest 5.5 Service Pack 3

AOL is coming out with ver 8.0 pretty soon.
They are beta testing right now.
Silk is a step behind. Hopefully, Segue starts research on AOL 8.0 now.

Re: SilkTest 5.5 Service Pack 3

I installed sp3 yesterday and came in this morning to a catastrophe. Seems that now, SYS_Execute() always operates from the directory that the script is running from.

SYS_SetDir() and SYS_GetDir() seem to be working. They just have no effect on SYS_Execute(). Passing in the full path to the batch file makes no difference either.

This is a real problem for batch files that assume that they are working in the current directory. For example, a batch file that produces some output expects the output to be in the current directory -- the same directory that the batch file is in.

Instead, the batch file is run from the Silk script directory and outputs wind up there. This means that batch files that do not have fully qualified paths to inputs and outputs will fail to find those inputs and outputs will be written tot the wrong directory.

Anyone else having problems maximising windows?
I'm getting an "expecting a window with a MaximizeBox" error - it's almost as if it is not recognising the ChildWin as a MoveableWin.

Can't seem to close windows with a .Close call, either.

Re: SilkTest 5.5 Service Pack 3

With SP3 I must have a IE browser open before I run tests, overwise browser crash occurs. Another problem with GetRowText(iRowNmb). Returnes nothing. Treats it like no rows in the table but there are. Apparent only for the pop-up pages. Used to be OK.

    Any solutions?

    Goink!
Ignore that. Wrong build. 1016 is fine.

Re: SilkTest 5.5 Service Pack 3

We normally use SilkTest 5.5 (without any SP). I have remarked that since SP1, 4Test compilation has slowed down remarkably. Any comments on that? I guess that we will stick on 5.5 until we know why Silk is so slow now in compilating out projects.
