    SilkTest and VB???

i have an application wherein it has some controls that are not recognized by silktest. most of these controls are used for configuration. i was thinking of using VB to do the configuration and at the same time, use SilkTest to automate it. are there any articles or tutorials that will give me a headstart? i admit i am not very well-versed with VB but i am sure if there are some guidelines or tutorials i would learn fast. any directions on where should i start? thanks in advance.

Are the controls visible or invisible to SilkTest? If they are visible, do they show up as CustomWins?

silktest sees the form as a customwin but the rest of the controls inside the form are not visible.

i could possibly use vb to call some interfaces that will allow me to do the configuration. i was wondering how could i use silktest to automate when i use the vb app.

Choose Record --> Class from SilkTest, point to a CustomWin, Press Ctrl-Alt, and see if the properties and methods lists are populated. If so, paste the winclass to your test frame andyou will have properties and methods to call and no more customwin.

    Hope this helps
