    Disappearing Objects within VBFrame

This is a very strange problem that I can't figure out. On a couple of our test machines, SilkTest cannot detect child objects of certain frames. The invisible children belong to the same frame on each of the test machines, but on other test machines with the same AUT, the frame children are visible (The include and option files are identical on all machines). I checked to see if the objects were mapped to ignore, which they weren't or the other frames in the app. would be ignored as well. I recorded new identifiers and it moved all of the child objects up a level to the frame's parent. Any clues on what is happening???
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Re: Disappearing Objects within VBFrame

As an update, I found that the objects don't disappear due to the frame, but rather to the Sheridan tab control that is a child of the frame. All of the children of the tab, thus disappear as well. Anyone have Sheridan controls disappear on them before???

    Thanks,
    Steve

Just curious. Is your window resolution on test machines the same? What about the size of the Browser if you use?

I've had the same type of problem and haven't figured it out either.

    Re: Disappearing Objects within VBFrame

There is an option (checkbox) in Options - Extensions for VB application to ignore VBFrame? You select the vbapp.exe, then click the Extension button. Maybe this was done on one machine and not the others.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Disappearing Objects within VBFrame

The Frame checkbox is not clicked under the extensions window. This appears to be a Sheridan OLESSTab issue rather than a Frame issue. The screen resolutions are all the same on all computers and this is a client server app rather than a browser app. I have been working with Silk for three years now and I have never seen anything like this. All of the children of the tab appear to belong to the frame, but if I move the children up one level to belong to the frame, we lose the ability to change tabs. Puzzling. I think I will have them reinstall Silk and see if that helps.

    Thanks

    Steve
