    Spiting the include file ...

    I have a inc file which has both window declarions and methods to that window declaration. This file is used by other scripts and now I want to break this include file into 2 one with window declarations and other with methods. How can I do that?

    Example:

    bv.inc
    window MainWin BindView //Window Declarations
    DetailPaneAutoSort() //Methods

    bvScript.t
    use "bv.inc"
    testcase XXXX()
    BindView.DetailPaneAutoSort()

    I want to break this into:

    bvDeclarations.inc
    window MainWin BindView //Window Declarations

    bvMethods.inc
    .........
    DetailPaneAutoSort() //Methods

    create a file bv.inc that contain
    use "bvDeclaration.inc"
    use "bvMethods.inc"

    and have my bvScript.t still working after the split.

    This should work, what error are you receiving? I chain the files together, script has use (declarations) and from declarations I have use (methods).

    Do you still have a use statement in the script? If so, is it pointing to the new include file?

    We don't mention the include file in the script. We create one include file that references all the other include files. Then we put the main include file "Use Files" field under Runtime Options.

    I switch between apps a lot so I get around the options\runtime line by just having use in the script. When I'm developing scripts I'll put the main include there.
