User Arumugam, Ragurama S (IndSys) (Ragurama.Arumugam@geind.GE.com.nospam) posted:

    Hi,
We are facing a problem while using API_PrivateProfileString function in
windows98 SE.It is working properly in all other Operating
    systems(NT,2000,XP & ME).In 98 it is not giving expected output.Is there
anything to do with Unicode support?

can anyone help us in this regards?

    Thanks in advance.

    regards,

Re: improper functioning of API_PrivateProfileString function in win

Assuming you mean PrivateProfileString property which sets the string in settings file or registry. here is my take:

Try empty string in the filename parameter. that is what MSDN recommends when using win95, 98 and NT but as you said it is working on NT so I am little confused here.

can you paste the code snippet here?

So what does your problem got to do with SilkTest? Or what is it doing in the SilkTest forum when it could be answered by many if you post it in the "Gerenal Discussion forum", for example?
