    Re: Training on Silk

There aren't any books except the manuals to learn from, but you can sign up for Segue classes or other training companies that offer training on Silk products.

Try posting a message on the training forum stating that you are looking for training classes in your area.

    Re: Training on Silk

Raju: Another option is to buy the workbooks that Segue uses in their training and go through them on your own. I recommend this because there are some techniques that aren't documented in any of their other documentation. But they are $300 a peice.

I've been working to try and get several people at several of my company's offices trained on SilkTest. I've been working with our education department and they are having a hard time with the prices that Segue is charging for SilkTest training. They expect technical training to be available for $400 to $500 per student day. Segue is charging $700. I've also contacted some third parties to give SilkTest training. Their prices are better than Segue's, but still more than $500.

I checked and Mercury offers WinRunner training at the prevailing rates. How do i convince others at my company that they should pay this premium for SilkTest training? This has become such a problem that i recently obtained an eval copy of WinRunner. I love SilkTest, but if i can't get people trained on it, it isn't much use to my company
