    Terminal Server Testing

In the near fututr I will be running test on our application in a Terminal Server environment. Has anyone worked with terminal server and SilkTest for testing 100+ users?

If you testing 100+ users, wouldn't you want a load testing tool (such as Silk Performer) rather than a GUI testing tool?

    Hi,

You can use freely available OpenSTA.
I used it. It is easy to use.
You may get latest download at http://www.opensta.org/

If you can spend time of 2-3 days you
can also write your own program in Java.

    Re: Terminal Server Testing

Our support department wants to know what type of load is placed on the terminal server with x number of sessions opened. Silk Performer will not do this (I don't think). We need to have x number copies of the GUI to sumilate the actual numer of people that will have connections to the terminal server and see where will need to put more hardware. If I remember correctly, Silk Performer captures the communications that is going on between the application the the middle or db layer. When running the test, you bypass the GUI to simulate the users.
