What was between the quotes? What should work is something like "<Alt-f>".

One thing you may want to look at is what you're using for a key. Some applications, although the shortcut on the menu says "Alt-F", they don't actually accept Alt-F but only accept Alt-f. Go figure.

Check your base state. Use silk to check if your control reference is still valid(use that record util). Usually if it worked and then broke, it's either silk going crazy or the reference has changed. You should use the transcript to try a couple calls to access this item. It must be something simple.

Ex: My silktest would not pickup the changes in my code once and while. I have to close SilkTest and re-open it.

If Silk does weird things before reboot, try to close all browser and Silk, then run the test again.

Re: TypeKeys() Didnít work on short cut.

Arlida,

I've encountered the same problem here with both Silk 5.5 and 5.0.3.1. TypeKeys() fails to perform the desired action when it is used on a JavaMainWin even though similar actions work OK with JavaDialogBoxes. I've submitted a bug report to Segue. This problem is easy to reproduce with Segue's own Java application testapp.bat.

Re: TypeKeys() Didnít work on short cut.

Segue has a work-around for the JavaMainWin TypeKeys() problem with accelerators and underlined-letter menus and menu items.

withoptions
{
BindAgentOption(OPT_PLAY_MODE, "Win32")
// put your typeKeys command here...
}
