Unrecognized properties in Java objects
I'm trying to record on Java objects and some of the properties are not recognized. Is there a way to extend the list of recognized properties (or objects)?
Re: Unrecognized properties in Java objects
What is the return datatype of the property? If it is not simple, then you won't see it from the recorder.
IIRC, when you record the custom class, in SilkTest 5.0.1, there is now a checkbox in that dialog that allows you to see all methods. When you paste the winclass declaration to your include file, the methods that return datatypes that are not simple are commented out. There is also the InvokeMethods method prototype. The only way you would be able to access the commented out methods is from the InvokeMethods. But note that this won't help you with the properties that you can't record with SilkTest (i.e., you can't call a property with the InvokeMethods method).
I don't know if any of this will help you, but I thought I'd share my recent observations on this....
