I can reproduce your error with no trouble. SilkTest can't find the second file. I am running NT 4.0, Release 5.5 SP2 [964n]. I have verified that both files are read/write enabled and are not in use by another process. The error is not reproducible with SP1. I note that SYS_CompareText does work even though SYS_CompareBinary does not. Will you be posting the bug report?
I think Tech Support has initially told me they couldn't reproduce the problem without further work from me on every single bug report I've ever sent them. But I think this case must be the most striking I've ever seen. This has got to be the simplest bug ever. Well, thanks for posting it.
That's been my experience as well. However, I just got a call and they now see the problem.
Why couldn't they see it before? Because they were using a later version than 5.5sp2a! I realize that tech support isn't rocket science or QA, but shouldn't they know that if a bug is reported in a certain version, that any attempts to reproduce the problem should use the same version!?!?!?!
Anyway, it's the classic "will be fixed in the next release." Sometime next week I'm told.
