    ListView Item Color

Does anyone know how to return the text color of an item in a listView control?

    Re: ListView Item Color

I noodled around a little and didn't see much support for this, even if I wanted to do some fancy Windows programming. If I were going to do that, I'd probably resort to using the Extension Kit -- if I didn't have checkin access to the AUT, I'd have to enlist a developer's help. Maybe someone else can think of something, but I'm not seeing an alternative in my Win32 programming book, or in MSDev help. If you're really set on doing this, why not try asking Brian LeSueur at Star Quality in Lexington, MA? He's a coder, and used to work at Segue. He wrote this month's Star Quality column in the Segue newsletter.

Yeah, I couldn't find anything either. Our AUT has an alarm object that is a ListView control and the color of the text is determined by the state of the alarm. So it would be nice to be able to accomplish this.

Do you have Brian LeSueur's e-mail address?

Is the listview coded in house? Or is it a 3rd party control. I have code that will do this for a view objects, but I need to know which control it is. You may be able to use another method as well.

    Re: ListView Item Color

I'd recommend getting the Extension Kit or getting an testing API created for the object. Usually takes less than a day. If you want some help on this, feel free to e-mail me.
