    the freakin\' mouse is stuck

    Hi everybody,

    I hope somebody will be able to help me with this one :
    I'm developping tests for a web based application using IE 5.0 SP2 and silktest 5.0.3 .
    I have to drag and drop some items from place to place :
    BrowserPage.BrowserChild("#2").CustomWin("[HtmlHeading]ItemName|[HtmlLink]ItemName").pressMouse(1)
    // Yeah, HtmlHeading or HtmlLink,
    // silk sees my object as one or the other depending on its mood.
    BrowserPage.BrowserChild("#2").releaseMouse(1,x,y)

    And then : my mouse is definitelly stuck, I can't move it anymore. I must Ctrl+Alt+Del and Cancel in order to get back the control on my beloved Windows2000 server.

    I tried to add some BrowserPage.BrowserChild("#2").Click() or stuff like that in order to put the focus somewhere else, and Silk effectivelly click on the browserchild. But it always set the mouse back to the place where i dropped my item and it stucks everything when the script is over.
    This problem also generates some random "stuff.stuff.stuff(#number) not found".

    If anybody understands me and solved the same problem, please help me before I do a :
    Silktest.licence.setOnFire(true)

    Thank you.

    chubukukubu,

    Have you tried using Drag and Drop functions (BeginDragAt, etc) rather than pressmouse, releasemouse. You may find these work a bit better. I seem to remember that drag and drop is not quite as simple as clicking a mouse. Windows has to do more work hence silk has to do more work.

    Same recommendation as above.

    Look at:
    BeginDrag(object)
    EndDrag(object)
    BeginDragAt(coordinate)
    EndDragAt(coordinate)

    Woooohooooo !

    So far, it works ! You guys rock !

    For those interested :
    List.BeginDragAt (1,path[nbelem].GetRect().xPos+2, path[nbelem].GetRect().yPos+2)
    List.EndDragAt (x,y)

    where List is BrowserPage.BrowserChild("#2") and the path table contains HtmlLinks elements.

    Morality : avoid PressMouse and ReleaseMouse !

    Once again : thank you !
