    Re: not able to connect to IE5.5

    Depends if you want VO or DOM extension. Assuming it is DOM you want to set. You have to set extension to IE DOM from both outside and inside SilkTest you may need to shut down and restart you SilkTest App and browser just to make sure it is set properly from outside. In you runtime Set default browser to IE 5.0 DOM and in use files textfield set Extend\domex.inc.

    Re: not able to connect to IE5.5

    Try this:

    1. <LI>Under Windows, got to Start->Programs->SilkTest->Extension Enabler
      <LI>In the Extension Enabler dialog, check that either "IE DOM" or "IE Virtual Object" (depending on if you are using DOM or VO) are set for "Internet Explore 5.x". If not, set it.
      <LI>Click on the [Details] button and write down what is listed for the include (should be "explorer.inc")
      <LI>Click the [OK] button to close the dialog.
      <LI>Start SilkTest
      <LI>Go to Options|Extensions...
      <LI>Verify the settings for "Internet Explore 5.x" are the same as the ones you set in the Extension Enabler dialog. If not, change them to match.
      <LI>Click the [OK] button to close the dialog.
      <LI>Back in SilkTest, go to Options|Runtime...
      <LI>In the "Use Files" textfield, verify that "extend\explorer.inc" is listed as one of the include files.
      <LI>In the Default Browser popup list, verify that "Internet Explorer 5.x DOM" or "Internet Explorer 5.x" is selected, depending on if you are using DOM or VO mode.
      <LI>Click the [OK] button to close the dialog.

    After doing the above, see if you still have the problem.
