    Shortcomings of Silk

    Hi,

Need to put up a list of the shortcomings of Silk (including verifications that Silk does not do, but can be worked around).

    Yours suggestions are appreciated.

    Thank you.

All of the automated tools will have shortcomings. In my opinion, the only ones that matter are the ones that may/will occur in your environment. If you can tell us what your environment is, you may get a decent response on what the limitations may be.

Aside from that, quite a few of the postings in this forum show shortcomings of the tool and may show a workaround to the shortcoming.

    Re: Shortcomings of Silk

No, its nothing against Silk. Its to know whats not done using Silk provisions & to know if any workarounds exist.

Regarding further on environment, I do not really know how exactly is the application ddeveloped. We use Silk & test out the functionalities as per the testplan. Whatever seems not feasible is informed.

B.T.W. how would one know what exactly is the environment for a web app. ?( I mean if nothing is given in the plan, just by having a look at the application in the browser)

Rhetoric! Segue training costs are comparable to Mercury's check the web site for costs. We should be prepared to cite facts rather than conjecture.
