I am trying to execute <Ctrl-Alt-Delete> via Silk. I do window.TypeKeys ("<Ctrl-Alt-Delete> ") but I do not get the shutdown screen. Actually nothing happens. How can I execute this sequence of keys through Silk?
This is an occaision when simulating the keystrokes won't work. Windows looks for the actual hardware event which SilkTest doesn't produce. Using the API call, or another app that uses this call is the only way to go here.
I am not trying to reboot the system. The entire system is frozen, during Silk execution. The only way to regain control of the mouse is to manually hit the <Ctrl-Alt-Delete> key sequence. Then select "Cancel" or hit <Esc>. When the screen is back to the app, mouse control is fine and Silk can continue. Otherwise it is completely stuck.
