ClickCol on JavaJFCTable, need a workaround

I have a table recognized by SilkTest as a JavaJFCTable and it is on a PageList.

The problem I am having is when i use the Table GetColumnName, GetColumnCount they seem to return the correct values.. However when I do ClickCol it is click the first cell under the column heading and I want to click the column heading. Anyone else had a problem with ClickCol, it might be that the headings are part of the PageList cause when I try to click using the x and y location it says it is off the table.. ?

    Thanks.
    You guys are very helpful

Can you get a RECT on the column header itself and then click inside that rectangle?

If not, you should be able to get the rect of the initial cell in the column you want to click and then adjust upward from there a given number of pixels and click there. Not an elegant solution, but it should work.

Re: ClickCol on JavaJFCTable, need a workaround

Thanks for the advice.. I can get the cell value below it, but for some reason when I record the window declaration it seems to say the columns are part of the pagelist object and not the table which is weird..

Any other ideas will be helpful, I will give this a shot//

    Thanks

Re: ClickCol on JavaJFCTable, need a workaround

Problem with getting column location. I tried to get the first cell location in the column using GetCellRect(), which returns location on frame not sceen. Then i can move up to click the column since cells and columns same size. HOWEVER, the columns seem to be on a different frame. Silktest thinks they are part of the pagelist so the location I get if for one frame, the headings are on another page..

Can I get the cell location compared to the window and not to the object...?

or any other idea will help
    Thanks

You'd have to get the RECT of the parent and the window and build in calculations to figure the relationship you want.

    <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by tfaron:

    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

    Table.ClickCol(1, 1, 0, -20)

Nothing says you always have to click inside the called object.
