    setuseroption Browser child window

    Hi gurus,
I have a problem with setuseroptions for IE5.5. I am unsing silktest5.5 HotFix4 on win2000. In the script I code the follwing
    Browser.setUserOption("ShowBorderlessTables", 0.5, USEROPT_DEFAULT)

    BrowserPage.setUserOption("ShowHtmlForm", false, USEROPT_DEFAULT)

Second line of code is for telling silk not to recognize forms in the HTML Page. Silk works fine(ie. doesn't recognize the forms) in the Browser page(Main page), but If there is a child window opening up, It recognizes forms and the test case fails.
I tried setting BrowserChild.setUserOption() but silk gives compilation error.

    - I used the function GenerateDecl() to
    - print the runtime declarations. I see
    - that silk recognizes forms for the child
    - windows, and not for main win.

    Hope I am clear.
if someone faced same kind of problem, please reply.

    TIA
    -srikanth

    Re: setuseroption Browser child window

Just curious -- Why are you passing your first message to Browser, and your second message specifically to BrowserPage?

(You can also write these values to your domex.ini file, but that's just like passing the message to Browser in that it will be a global change.)

    Re: setuseroption Browser child window

Sorry for the confusion.. I tried with Browser.setuseroptions() for both form and borderless tables.
    also with BrowserPage.setUserOptions()

you are right we can write these values to domex.ini file... but my scripts can be run by any body whose domex.ini file has some other value.. So I want to use the scripts to set them and proceed.
Its like we are not worried about who is running and what are his option set files set.

    thanks for the reply.
