Window Declarations Problem
I'm trying to automate the sending of an email using one of the online email sites out
But Silk can't seem to differentiate the links in the left side navbar of the page (after you login). I need Silk to click on the "Write Message" link to bring up the correct email prep form. I've tried using coordinates (e.g. Click(1, 57, 30)) but it doesn't work.
Can someone give me an example of how to handle cases like this where Silk can't recognize discrete HtmlLinks in a Frame/NavBar?
Re: Window Declarations Problem
Hmm, it is hard to know what is going here without knowing what your window declarations look like.
For example, are those links recognized in that frames decs? (You'd see a BrowserChild set of decs for that frame contained inside another BrowserChild).
What do you get when you record Window Identifiers on that link? Do you get dynamically instantiated ID's (like BroswerChild"Tag information".BroswerChild"tag information".HTMLLink"tag information") or do you get code with only the ID's (like PageName.FrameName.LinkName)? If you get the dynamic style, maybe you don't have the declarations in your frame file.
Are you trying to record this action? How about trying to manually code it from the declarations. I find if something won't record, sometimes it is because I'm missing something. Going through the declarations to find the objects step by step gets me back on the right track.
Apologies if you've already been through all this. I have no idea what your experience level is.
