    Non English characters

    Hello,

Our project has data stored in multiple languages (European + Asian). Currently we are trying to test for European languages.

The data is taken from the database, then for non english characters, like umlaut ( ) or or any other non english characters, the Silk test gets junk values. This results in improper testing.

Is there a way to set the encoding, or any other way so that non english characters can be properly returned from the database.

    Regards,
    ~A.

    Re: Non English characters

You need to get SilkTest International (either an upgrade from your current SilkTest or a new license).

It doesn't matter which languages you are testing -- your test cases should be the same. The difference will be in your include files or wherever you are doing your translations (where your tags change from language to language).
You'll need the SilkTest International version.
