    HtmlPopupList.Select and GetContents

    Doesn't always work!

If the popup list is in view on the browserpage when the page loads, you can get its contents, but if scrolling down is required to bring it into view, GetContents returns an empty list.

Does anyone know how to work around this? I saw an earlier post similar to this question but no one answered it.

This is with IE4 as the browser using SilkTest v5.01.

    hi there....

you can pass the values from a data file or u can also pass the values thru ur script in the following manner........Select is usually used when selecting a value from a drop down list on a web page.

let me know if it works......good luck

Have you tried using SilkTest 5.0.2? Does that have the same behavior?

    Re: HtmlPopupList.Select and GetContents

5.02 did seem to fix some of the problems I was having with the "automatically scroll objects into view" option (which apparently didn't work with I.E 4 on v5.01). This was the source of my empty select problems...and a myriad of other problems I was having with a bunch of other controls.
