    Silktest 5.01 & Delphi

A basic question... Is Silktest 5.01 compatible with Delphi 5.0 applications? I am having trouble getting the test script to consistently bring the main application window into focus, which is written in Delphi. The modules written in C++ don't seem to have any problem.

I guess the next step to this question is - Does Silktest 5.01 run on Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP?

    Re: Silktest 5.01 & Delphi

there is a link in the Downloads section of this forum for a Delphi Testing Tool for Segue but the link doesn't work when I click on it. Other than that, SilkTest doesn't support Delphi. On 5.0.1, SilkTest does support NT40. I can't remember what version 2000 support started on but I know 5.0.2 supports it. XP isn't supported until 5.5 SP2. Why don't you just upgrade to the latest and then you'll be sure to have support on all 3 platforms?

    Thanks for the information.
Our company has been a bit squeaky lately when it comes to putting out money for testing automation development, and I've had to make do with what we already own.
I just need to find a way to convince them it is worth it to upgrade!!

if your maintenance contract is up to date, the upgrades our free. Otherwise, I know what you mean. We are in the same position which is why I'm still at version 5.0.2. Although that version doesn't support XP, I'm still able to run tests without problems on that platform if I change the desktop to use Standard or Classic windows. You should have good luck on Win2k as well.
