Embedded browser control causes the recovery system to want to bring up a browser
Arrgh! I have this app that is such a joy to automate. It is a C++ app richly endowed with StingRay controls and one lovely little IE5 ActiveX control for preview purposes. I can get the browser control's contents recognized if I set the primary extension on the executable as IE5. However, the recovery system keeps trying to bring up IE5 no matter what I do to the TestCaseEnter function or the application states. What can I do with editing defaults.inc or explorer.inc? I'd like to be able to use something other than 'appstate none'...
I must be missing something. Any ideas?
Re: Embedded browser control causes the recovery system to want to bring up a browser
I believe I've come up with a solution/workaround. It turns out that I had IE5 listed as my default browser in theOptions|RunTime|Default Browser: dropdown.
I don't seem to get the problem when I set that value to (none). This works even with extend\explorer.inc in the Use Files: textfield.
Sorry for the bother..
